One School, One Book Begins

The Brookdale LMC, in conjunction with the Brookdale PTA, is happy to announce our Inaugural One School, One Book family reading program in February and March.
One School, One Book is a unique learning experience for all Brookdale families. Research has consistently proven the many benefits of parents reading with their children:
- Reading together allows families to bond over books
- Reading aloud to children helps them achieve academic success
- Reading with a parent can boost a child’s self esteem and communication skills
With the One Book, One School program, our goal is to building a community of readers at Brookdale School. Please consider participating. The cost to order one book for your family is $5 and may be ordered through the LMC.
A reading schedule and discussion guide will be provided. Throughout the duration of the program, students will be invited to participate in school-wide activities related to the book.
We are very excited to introduce this reading program to Brookdale families!
