Brookdale Elementary School will be collecting new or gently used, clean coats of all sizes (infant through adult) from October 5-28. Additionally, district social workers have identified a need for approximately 500 sets of clean, new or nearly-new winter boots (primarily in preschool/elementary sizes) in addition to other winter accessories (hats, coats, scarves, snow pants, etc.).
Please drop off in the big box by the office.
Historically, we have been able to meet the winter coats needs in our district through our collection efforts, but we have not been as successful in our winter boot collections. If individuals, businesses, PTA’s are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution which would be used to purchase winter boots for district children, checks may be written to Indian Prairie Parents’ Council and mailed to the following address:

Volunteers Needed
We will also need volunteers to help sort and distribute the collected items on October 29th (any time between 9:30 and 2:30) and November 3rd (any time between 10 and 2) at Kendall Elementary School.
